Niger Tornadoes must improve their finishing, says Mustapha Aliko

Niger Tornadoes’ Mustapha Aliko has urged his side to improve on their scoring form in their remaining games following a 2-1 victory against Lobi Stars at the Confluence Stadium.

The goalkeeper who had kept six clean sheets this season lamented his side wastefulness in front of goal against the Pride of Benue.

"I’m happy we won which is the most important. I think we still have a lot to improve on as a team," Aliko told Goal.

"We must improve our conversion rate. We created lot of chances against Lobi Stars but we only managed to score two goals.

"The league is a marathon race and at some points the number of goals we are capable of scoring count most especially when you are tied on points with other teams as regards who finish ahead of the other.

"We have to hit the target once we are in the opponent's half. It important we have to start getting more goals.”
