"Our first match was like a welcome to the Kenyan Premier League, the one that we lost against Bandari. With the match against Leopards, the boys I guess had a stage fright but after that they became bolder. Some of them were not used to facing a big crowd," Wesonga told Goal.

"It helped much against Zoo because the fans that turned out to support the home team was mammoth, Leopards and Gor Mahia crowd combined, but we managed to hold them and get maximum points."

Nakumatt, Zoo Kericho, Kariobangi Sharks and Nzoia United were promoted to the top tier.
