The former Gor Mahia and Tusker striker scored with a cool header but his goal could not help his side as they lost

Harambee Stars striker Michael Olunga's goal was not enough to help Guizhou Hengfeng Zhichen FC avoid defeat in the hands of Yanbian on Sunday.

The former Gor Mahia and Tusker striker scored with a cool header but his goal could not help his side as they succumbed 2-1 in the Chinese Super League. Olunga, who also picked his first yellow card in the league, had gone for five matches without scoring a goal. Olunga's first and only goal in China came in April 28, 2017, against Guanzhou R&F.

Olunga played the entire 90 minutes and his goal came in 70th minute. Olunga, 23 who, moved to China early this year from Sweden, had been booked in the 48th minute after committing a foul.

The defeat left Guizhou Hengfeng Zhichen lying on position 11 on the table with 15 points from 15 games.
