Man City move for Can


Emre Can Liverpool Manchester City are hoping to land Liverpool midfielder Emre Can at the end of the season, according to the Mirror .

Can has so far held out on signing a new deal at Anfield, and has also been linked with a free transfer to Bayern Munich, with Juventus also admitting they were interested in his signature.  

If Bayern sign Schalke's Leon Goretzka, however, he might favour staying in the Premier League with Pep Guardiola.


Reds reject West Brom loan offers

Goretzka had been linked with the likes of Liverpool, Barcelona and Juventus before agreeing to a four-year deal at the Allianz Arena.

Liverpool are set to battle with Tottenham for the signing of Inter Milan midfielder Marcelo Brozovic, reports Corriere dello Sport ( via the Mirror ). 

The report from the Italian out claims the 25-year-old could be available for as little as £12 million.


Inter & Roma pursue Liverpool's Sturridge

Serie A sides Inter and Roma are both considering a bid for Liverpool's Daniel Sturridge, reports Gianluca Di Marzio (via Football Italia ). 

Roma have been put on alert by reported Chelsea interest for Emerson Palmieri and Edin Dzeko, and see Sturridge as a possible replacement up front. 

Inter, meanwhile, are short of depth up front, with only Mauro Icardi leading the line.

The club were appalled by the defender assaulting his girlfriend, which he pleaded guilty to and has been sentenced for. 

Despite that the club will not sack him this season, but there is no chance of a contract extension with the Reds and he will be forced to look for work elsewhere in the summer.

The Reds are not ready to let the striker go on the cheap, but he is available if either side is willing to meet Liverpool's price for him.

The Colombia international is due to spend two years with the German giants as part of an agreement with parent club Real Madrid.

Finding a way to break that deal will be difficult, but Liverpool are eager to explore all options in their pursuit of a replacement for Philippe Coutinho.

Jurgen Klopp has Williams as one of a few midfield targets, but the contract has a £96 million buy-out clause, so he will have to pay a premium if any deal is to be done. 


Juve confirms Can interest


 

Juventus will do everything possible to sign Liverpool midfielder Emre Can, according to general director Giuseppe Marotta.

Can, 24, is out of contract with the Premier League giants at the end of the season and has been heavily linked with a switch to Juve.
