Avondale attacker Kaine Sheppard has sealed a one-year deal with the Jets after a successful trial.
After scoring 20 goals in just 26 appearances in 2018, Sheppard has earned his crack at the A-League.
The 24-year-old becomes Ernie Merrick's fourth signing of the off-season with the coach impressed by what he's seen of Sheppard.
“We brought him in on trial and he’s done exceptionally well,” Merrick said.
“Kaine performed strongly in two FFA Cup appearances this year and has been consistently good all season down in Victoria.
“He’s a clever player that reads the game well, makes great runs and has a strong physical presence – a really coachable player that I’m looking forward to working with this season.”
