The Japanese coach has put pen to paper to become the new boss for the Fire Club in a one-year deal

Aduana Stars have confirmed the appointment of Kenichi Yatsuhashi as the club's new coach in a one-year deal.

The Fire Club terminated the contract of Yussif Abubakar following their slow start to the Caf Confederation Cup Group stage and the Japanese is expected to turn around their fortunes with four matches remaining.

The Ghana Premier League champions had been keen to appoint a coach with Premier League experience, and Kenichi's past records with Hearts of Oak and Inter Allies gave him an advantage over other potential candidates.

"Kenichi Yatsuhashi is the new head coach of Aduana Stars after a successful meeting on Wednesday in Dormaa Ahenkro," the club's communication director Evans Oppong told Goal.

"Kenichi was introduced to the technical team and playing body as well as the supporters leadership. He began his work afterwards and was in charge of the training this afternoon," Oppong added.

Kenichi is expected to make his bow in the dugout next week when Aduana host Vita Club in the Confederation Cup at the Nana Agyemang Badu Park in Dormaa Ahenkro.
