Kaizer Chiefs and SuperSport United will meet for the fourth time this season, but this time around three points will be at stake at the Mbombela Stadium.
The two teams met in both the MTN8 and Telkom Knockout Cup, where Chiefs won one, lost one and drew the other.
Amakhosi are now under Ernst Middendorp, who returned to Naturena following the sacking of Giovanni Solinas last week.
Solinas had been in charge of 21 official matches - losing seven, drawing seven and winning seven.
The record forced Chiefs to sack the Italian mentor and start over before it's too late. Chiefs are currently placed seventh on the log with just 18 points from 14 league games.
Middendorp together with the management then appointed Shaun Bartlett to assist the technical team.
Matsatsantsa, who are currently placed in position six, are looking for a return to winning ways and a spot in the top four going into the mid-season break.
They lost their previous league game to Mamelodi Sundowns in the Tshwane Derby over two weeks ago.

Squads & Team News
Chiefs will be without a few of their key players for this encounter against the Tshwane outfit.
Ramahlwe Mphahlele has been ruled out for the next six to eight weeks, while Erick Mathoho will only return to action in March next year.
The two defenders join Wiseman Meyiwa on the list of players who will be out for some time.
Joseph Molangoane, while he's on the mend, is still not ready to return to action.
This means Middendorp will have to change things around and possible come up with a different formation altogether in an attempt to turn things around.
Potential Chiefs XI: Khune, Cardoso, Walusimbi, Ngezana, Hadebe, Katsande, Ntshangase, Parker, Manyama, Billiat, Castro .
Meanwhile, SuperSport United will be without Dean Furman and Bradley Grobler among other players, who are struggling with injuries.
The two players missed the Tshwane Derby alongside the likes of Clayton Daniels and Thuso Phala.
It's unclear if Tembo will bring Daniels and Phala back into the starting line-up for the Amakhosi clash as he looks open a gap between him and Middendorp.
Boateng had to be taken off in the first half after sustaining a minor injury, and it's unclear if he has recovered from it.
Aubrey Modiba came on as a substitute against Sundowns and actually changed the complexion of the game.
He is likely to start this time around, and possibly take advantage of Amakhosi's ailing defence, especially on the right-hand side where Mphahlele will be missing.
Potential SuperSport United XI: Williams, Kekana, Gould, Khumalo, Lungu, Mokoena, Letsholonyane, Ntshangase, Mahlatsi, Keene, Rusike.
Matches between Amakhosi and Matsatsantsa have been fanscinating, and only fireworks should be expected at the Mbombela Stadium.
The two sides have met 37 times, with both Chiefs and SuperSport winning 14 matches while the other nine matches ended in draws.
Chiefs scored 39 goals against SuperSport in the process, but they have not been solid at the back either as they have conceded 38 in 37 matches.
What's interesting though is that Chiefs have beaten SuperSport just once in the last six meetings.
