The versatile midfielder suffered an ankle injury at the FNB Stadium on Saturday night as they cruised past Ea Lla Koto via a 3-0 scoreline.
According to the Italian coach, Molangoane has sustained a broken ankle and could be out for some time, but the coach has urged the club's supporters to pray for him.
Solinas added that a life of a footballer is based on such setbacks, but said they will soldier on as they look to do well in the current 2018/19 Premier Soccer League (PSL) season.
“We are also very shocked because we lost a nice guy like Joseph. We dedicated the victory to him. It’s a serious injury. I hope he comes back quickly. I am happy about the result but very sad for my player,” Solinas said after the match.
“But this is life it is football. He has a fractured or broken ankle and he could be out for sometime. I really wish him a speedy recovery,” he added.
In what looked like a horrible tackle by Makhehleni Makhaula, defender Ramahlwe Mphahlele expressed shock and was angered by the challenge as he rushed in to assist his teammate.
Moreover, the coach added that he talked to the right back and he was sill shocked with the injury, but urged his troops to move on.
“I spoke to Rama and he is still very shocked. They lost a teammate, an important play. This is football guys. Life must continue,” he urged.
“And this was his first game. For us this is a bad loss. We have lost him for a long time now. This was his first game this season,” added the Italian.
“I don’t have the words to explain my emotions. We can only pray for this guy.” Solinas concluded.
Meanwhile, the club have since issued a statement, revealing that Molangoane will undergo surgery.
“Joseph Molangoane will undergo surgery to repair his lower right leg,” Dr Aadil Bodhania told the club's website.
“Early prognosis indicates a fracture of the distal tibia and fibula to the lower right leg,” Dr Bodhania added.
