Kaizer Chiefs assessing options available to Letlotlo

The nippy frontman has featured just five times for the Glamour Boys this term and the club is considering his future ahead of the 2017/18 season

Kaizer Chiefs are seriously considering the future of Emmanuel Letlotlo ahead of the start of next season, Goal can confirm.

The 21-year-old striker was promoted from the Amakhosi academy at the beginning of the current campaign, but he has found game time hard to come by under Steve Komphela.

Now, according to a source close to the player, there have already been talks about whether to loan him out or keep him at the club in the new season.

The source revealed that several clubs from both the PSL and National First Division (NFD) have shown interest in the diminutive striker.

However, Chiefs are not too keen to let the player leave, even if it's on a season-long loan deal.

It is believed that Chiefs would prefer Letlotlo to stay on and continue playing in the MultiChoice Diski Challenge whenever it's necessary.

"There is talk about his future. Obviously the club wants him to grow as a player, but they don't like the idea of releasing him even if it's on loan," the source told Goal.

"They prefer him to stay at the club and continue playing in the MDC if necessary. In that way, the technical team would be able to monitor his progress," the source added.

"Yes, there are teams in the PSL and NFD that want him, but Chiefs haven't entertained them that much," concluded the source.
