Juventus' Benatia sends message to Milan-bound Gonzalo Higuain

The Argentine is set to complete a loan move to the San Siro Stadium after spending two years in Turin

Juventus defender Medhi Benatia has sent his best wishes to Gonzalo Higuain who is set for a move to AC Milan on a season-long loan.

Higuain joined the Old Lady from Napoli in July 2016 and has helped the back-to-back league champions to lift two Serie A and two Coppa Italia titles.

During his stint in Turin, the 30-year-old scored 55 goals in 105 matches and he is now set to join Gennaro Gattuso's side for the upcoming campaign in a swap deal that involves Leonardo Bonucci heading back to Juventus.

Benatia seems to have struck a good friendship with the Argentine forward whom he described as a 'great champion'.

"We hit a couple of times on the field, we had fun outside and we fought together for 2 years so we won what we wanted - I will always remember you as a great champion," Benatia wrote.
