The ex-Ghana international previews Sunday's big game between the arch-rivals

Former Asante Kotoko captain Joseph Hendricks has shared his experience of playing in the famous Hearts of Oak-Asante Kotoko Super Clash.

The two sides - Ghana's biggest clubs - are set to renew their rivalry when they meet on matchday 10 of the Premier League on Sunday.

It will be their 107th encounter since 1958.

"Kotoko and Hearts games are not normal," Hendricks to GNA.

"But the good thing is that, fans are thrilled with some good football.

"Players on both sides are poised for the encounter because it's the biggest game on the local scene and players can sell their potential as well.

"Concentration is certainly high within both camps and people normally say form guide doesn't count, but you need players with good form to play such matches, coupled with spiritual fortitude ahead of the clash."

All has not been well in Kotoko's camp ahead of the big game owing to the club's inconsistent performance in the championship thus far this season.

After nine games, the Porcupine Warriors sit fourth on the table, having won four, drawn two and lost three, increasing pressure on coach Samuel Paa Kwasi Fabin.

"Kotoko is not an up and coming team and supporters don't have patience for any building process," Hendricks added.

"Every Kotoko supporter wants silverware, so there is lots of pressure on the coaches who occupy that role.

"So I entreat him [Fabin] to do his homework well and fix things so as to lead Kotoko to lift the trophy, because excuses would certainly not be welcome by fans, and Kotoko is way above occupying third and fourth position on the league log."
