The 21-year-old has four goals and an assist from 12 appearances and was the first player to score for Blasters this season. A statement by the club read, "Kerala blasters and Mark Sifneos have mutually agreed to part ways. We are grateful for all his contributions to the club. The club would also like to wish him well for the future."
Sifneos left former club RKC Waalwijk and joined Kerala Blasters in the hope of getting regular minutes. He has also said that Rene Meulensteen, who the club sacked earlier this month, was one of the main reasons for him to make the move to India.
An injury to Iain Hume paved way for the Dutchman into the starting lineup of Meulensteen and he made use of the chance by scoring a goal on his first start, against Mumbai City. It was also the first goal scored by the club in the league this season.
However, Sifneos' last start came in a win against Mumbai City earlier this month. He was replaced at half-time and was a second-half substitute in the two matches since then.
