The Goan club, who finished ninth in the I-League season and were relegated, had requested the committee to consider their entry into the top-tier league this year.
The meeting was chaired by AIFF vice-president Subrata Dutta. Federation general secretary Kushal Das, I-League CEO Sunando Dhar, member Souter Vaz and FSDL representatives Chirag Tanna and Rochak Langer also attended the meeting.
The committee paid heed to Churchill’s plea and forwarded the matter to an emergency committee which will look into the matter on a later date.
The league committee also decided that the i-League 2018/19 season will commence on the last week of October.
The AIFF will conduct an Academy accreditation inspection of DSK Shivajians and on the basis of their star rating, they will be allowed to participate in the youth leagues next season.
The Indian FA is also in a process to formulate a professional as well as an amateur player contract template which will be circulated amongst the clubs. It will be enforced in the next edition of I-League.
