Harambee Stars hold Mauritania in away friendly

Harambee Stars battled to a 1-1 draw against Mauritania in a friendly played on Thursday.

The team led by assistant coaches Musa Otieno and Frank Ouna, were using the match to prepare for Chan tournament set to be held in the country from January next year.

Kariobangi Sharks striker Masoud Juma scored for Kenya in the 58th minute before the hosts leveled in the 84th minute through Camara Khasa.

Ouna says it is an excellent show from the Kenyan side considering they played a stronger side. "They fielded their 'A' team but managed to control the game. We missed decent chances and we are unfortunate not to win this match."
