Gor Mahia tipped to reclaim 2017 league title

Former AFC Leopards and current Kakamega Homeboyz U-20 coach Gilbert Selebwa is adamant Gor Mahia will have a say in this season's title race.

The fifteen times league champions finished behind winners Tusker last season and went on a spending spree, bringing in a number of quality players. It is for this reason that Selebwa is convinced K'Ogalo will roar all the way to the top.

"Gor Mahia are looking stronger, they only acquired what they needed. Their team remains intact and they boosted their bench with two very experienced coaches in Zedekiah 'Zico' Otieno and Willis Ochieng. Should they maintain the same momentum and resolve we saw against Tusker in KPL Super Cup, they could be on the right track."

"For AFC Leopards, they did not have the capacity to recruit experienced players. They have to make do with youthful players but their best bet is a very good coach with vast experience in East African football," Selebwa told Goal.
