Gor Mahia defender Karim Nizigiyimana keen to sign for Yanga FC

Gor Mahia defender Karim Nizigiyimana has expressed his desire of moving to the Tanzania Premier League.

The Burundian defender has been out of action since late 2017 after undergoing a successful knee surgery last November.

But the long wait by K’Ogalo fans to welcome the defender could go up in flames if reports from Tanzania that Nizigiyimana could be headed to Yanga SC are anything to go by.

“I have fully recovered now and resumed training. I actually wanted to come and play in Cecafa Kagame Cup but saw it was better to relax so I can get back to my maximum potential.

"I would really love to join Young Africans SC,” Nizigiyimana reportedly told Tanzanian publication, Champions.

If the move materializes, Nizigiyimana could become the second Gor Mahia player to have joined a Tanzanian club this year after Meddie Kagere's move to Simba SC in June.
