Gor Mahia and AFC Leopards to wait as FKF moves Shield Cup quarter-finals dates

Shield Cup quarter-finals dates have been pushed forward by three weeks by Football Kenya Federation.

Initially, the fourth round had been set for the weekend of August 18th/19, but from the communication sent to the media, that has now been changed.

"Kindly note that the dates for the Shield Quarter-finals have been changed from August 18/19 to September 01/02," read the brief obtained by Goal.

Defending Champions AFC Leopards, Gor Mahia, Tusker FC, Sofapaka, Police FC, River Plate FC, Ulinzi Stars and Kariobangi Sharks are through to the latter stage where the winner will represent the nation in the Caf Confederation Cup.

AFC Leopards will play Police FC, Gor Mahia will be up against Kariobangi Sharks, with Ulinzi Stars having a lesser duty against River Plate. The other match will be between Tusker and Sofapaka.
