Ghana's Asamoah announces Juventus departure amid Inter speculation

Juventus' Ghanaian utility player Kwadwo Asamoah has posted on Twitter, a letter bidding farewell and thanking the club's fans ahead of Saturday's season finale.

The 29-year-old versatile player who joined Juve from Udinese in 2012, is seemingly poised to join Inter Milan on a free transfer after announcing his exit.

In the letter, Asamoah reveals that he opted against renewing with the Turin side after he was offered a new deal.

He is being linked with Serie A rivals Inter where he is rumoured to have completed his medical and is expected to sign a three-year deal worth €3.5 million a season.  The move is said to be done and is subject only to the official announcement from the Nerazzurri side. 

Asamoah, who will feature for the last time on Saturday's season finale against Verona, leaves Juve having made 165 appearances, scoring five times and assisted 21, he also won six successive Serie A titles and four consecutive Coppa Italia trophies.

He was involved in unsuccessful Champions League finals in 2015 and 2017.
