Francois Kamano on target in Bordeaux’s win over Saint-Etienne

The Guinea international was on the scoresheet as the Girondins eaged past the Stade Geoffroy-Guichard outfit

Francois Kamano scored in Bordeaux’s 2-1 victory over Saint-Etienne in Wednesday’s friendly encounter.

The attacker was a consistent fixture for the Girondins last season, featuring in 35 league games, scoring eight times to help them clinch a place in Europe.

The 22-year-old sent a message of readiness for the new term with a 17th-minute strike which was, however, cancelled out three minutes later by Lois Diony.

Aurelien Tchouameni sealed the victory for the Matmut Atlantique outfit in the 29th minute.

Kamano will be hoping for another impressive display when Bordeaux try Union Berlin for size in their next warm-up game on Saturday.
