Former Man Utd striker Hernandez reveals drastic new haircut after losing Super Bowl bet

Javier Hernandez will be sporting a dramatic new image the next time he takes to the field, with the Bayer Leverkusen forward now boasting a shaved head.

The former Manchester United and Real Madrid striker has honoured a losing bet relating to the 2017 Super Bowl.

Chicharito incorrectly predicted that the Atlanta Falcons would prevail in the NFL showpiece event in February.

It appeared at one stage as though the Mexican would be keeping his locks, but a famous fight-back from the Tom Brady-inspired Patriots saw them emerge victorious.

Hernandez has stuck to his word and posted evidence on Instagram of the drastic action he has been forced to take.

Hernandez appears to aim his message at Sergio Dipp, a commentator for ESPN in Latin America.

He will be hoping that his new streamlined look helps him to rediscover his goalcoring touch for Leverkusen.

The 28-year-old has gone four games without finding the target, with his return for the season stuck on 12 in all competitions.
