The People’s Elephant defender has expressed his happiness at his first goal in Africa in their 2-0 home win over Djoliba

Enyimba defender, Isiaka Oladuntoye says he is thrilled with his first goal of the season for the club in the Caf Confederation Cup group stage win against Djoliba on Sunday in Calabar.

Oladuntoye got the People’s Elephant's curtain-raiser in the 48th minute before Stanley Dimgba sealed the win, and the defender revealed that he was relieved to get his first of the campaign.

“I have always been looking forward to helping my team in any capacity I find myself and I am thrilled to score my first goal of the season,” Oladuntoye told Goal.

“It was no doubt a tough game but we showed that we needed the points more than they did and worked very hard throughout the game.

"Besides playing my role as a defender, I like to go forward to see if I am able to get few goals and I am delighted that my hard work was rewarded yesterday (Sunday).

“We thought we could get few goals in the first half but Djoliba were such a good and disciplined side. We had to change our strategy in the second half and it was the reason we got those goals.”
