Enock Mwepu, Amadou Haidara net to hand Salzburg victory over Admira

Super-sub Enock Mwepu and Amadou Haidara were on target to help Salzburg cruise to a 3-1 victory over Admira in Sunday’s Austrian Bundesliga encounter.

The Zambia and Mali internationals, with their first league goals this season, combined well to secure the win for Marco Rose’s side.

Takumi Minamino got the curtain raiser in the 44th minute after being set up by the Mali midfielder to give Rose’s men the lead before the break.

And after the interval, Mwepu, who came on in the 19th minute, doubled his side’s lead in the 60th minute before Wilhelm Vorsager pulled one back for the visitors eight minutes later.

With just two minutes of action remaining, Haidara made it three for the hosts, after being picked out by Munas Dabbur.

The 20-year-old was on parade for the entire duration of the clash and will be looking to continue his form in their next league fixture.

Salzburg come up against St. Polten at NV Arena while Admira trade tackles with Sturm Graz at the BSFZ Arena, both games on September 15.
