Thika United are playing Mathare United on Sunday without their influential defender

Thika United head coach James Nandwa says the team will definitely miss the services of influential defender Dennis Odhiambo.

The defender has not been cleared to play after alleged double signing during the recent transfer window. The veteran allegedly signed for Bandari at the same time extending his contract with the milk men.

Nandwa has defended his skipper saying he has always been with his side since preseason. "I hope by next week he will be cleared to play for us. He has been impressive in training and it is quite unfortunate he will not be playing for us on Sunday.

"He has been with us all this while and I am sure there is a mistake somewhere. It is my hope that by next week he will be cleared to play for us," he told Goal.
