Dame N'Doye fires Koebenhavn past Esbjerg

Dame N'Doye helped Koebenhavn to a 2-0 defeat of Esbjerg in Sunday’s Danish Superliga encounter.

Having rejoined the Telia Parken outfit in July on a free transfer from Turkish side Trabzonspor, the 33-year-old has been spectacular in front of goal.

In the seventh minute, the former Lokomotiv Moscow man registered his sixth goal in eight games against the Blue Water Arena outfit, off Viktor Fischer's assist.

Fischer then got a goal of his own in the 19th minute to help Stale Solbakken’s men seal an impressive first-half performance.

Koebenhavn held on to their lead in the second half to ensure that they clinch their sixth league’s win this season and maintain their place at the summit of the log with 19 points from eight games.

N'Doye will be hoping to continue the fine display after the international break when his side take on Midtjylland on September 16.
