Cape Town City may be busy in the transfer market, but this hasn’t stopped them from tying down one of their players.
The Citizens have been hard at work bolstering their squad ahead of the second half of the Premier Soccer League (PSL) campaign having already roped in the likes of Kwanda Mngonyama, Masoud Juma and Bradley ‘Surprise’ Ralani, and now they have been given a further boost with news that winger Crag Martin has agreed to a new deal at the club.
Martin, who was seemingly clutched from football obscurity at the beginning of the season has developed into somewhat of favourite in coach Benni McCarthy’s side. The 24-year-old has enjoyed a meteoric rise in his first season with City, scoring once and providing one assist in 11 games for the Mother City-based outfit.
Nonetheless, City have taken it upon themselves to reward the Martin with a new and improved long-term contract which will subsequently keep him at the club until 2023 at least.
City took to their official Twitter account on Thursday to break the news regarding their latest move.
