Azam's Kimwaga delighted with scoring return against Friends Ranger

Kimwaga will be hoping to put the injury behind him and finish the season on a high

Azam striker Joseph Kimwaga believes that the two goals he scored against Friends Ranger will help him regain his old form in front of goal after his return to action for the first time this season.

Kimwaga who had been sidelined due to injury since last season, made his return in the friendly match coming on in the 67th minute to replace Mbaraka Yusuph and scored two goals in quick succession. The goals helped Azam to beat Ranger by a whopping 5-0 scoreline.

Speaking to Goal, Kimwaga said that it is unbelievable to return to action with two goals after missing first team action for such a long time.

“I am really happy to score in my first match, to be out of action is something that is not good for any player, but to return so strongly is something which every player hopes for,” said Kimwaga.
