Adidas are set to release new limited edition football boots and they have enlisted the services of David Beckham as part of their promotional campaign.
Following the successful re-release of the Predator Mania boots, the sports brand teased the 'reimagined' Predator Precision boots on social media as they put a new spin on a classic design that was in vogue back in 2000.
Writing on his official Instagram page, Beckham wrote of the new Predator Precision boots: "An icon of the game. Many memories in these boots."
The 2017 Adidas Predator Precision will be available to buy from Friday, September 8.
WHAT IS NEW?
The 2017 Predator Precision boots are very true to the original design, but, as you'd expect with a reimagination, there are slight variations.
The 2017 versions are blue-grey in colour with three white strips and a dash of collegiate red on the tongue of the shoe as well as the studs.
It is not known if other colours will be available, but the original Predator Precision was available in a variety of shades, including black and white as well as blue-grey.
Like the old design, the new Predator Precision features unique ridges on the front of the boot and they have a K-leather upper as well as lining.
However, the new boots use 'SPRINTFRAME' technology, which features a new stud layout instead of blades and is much lighter than the old incarnation.
HOW MUCH WILL THEY COST?
The new Predator Precision boots will set you back £299.95 in the UK, or €349.95 if you are in Europe. In the US, the boots are priced at $330. Adidas will provide free shipping if bought from their online store.
The design will also be available in the form of astro-turf boots and trainers, which are both significantly cheaper than the firm ground boots.
WHO WORE PREDATOR PRECISION?
Just about all of Adidas' star athletes wore the Predator Precision back in 2000 and 2001, with the likes of Steven Gerrard, Alessandro Del Piero and Raul using the equipment.
As well as Beckham, another famous wearer of the boots, Zinedine Zidane, was also rolled out by the sportswear giants to promote the new limited edition footwear.
