The Switzerland international stepped on broken glass in his bathroom, leaving him in need of seven stitches in his foot
Bayer Leverkusen forward Eren Derdiyok has been ruled out for three weeks following a domestic accident, according to Bild.

The 23-year-old was in his bathroom, when a glass containing his toothbrush fell and shattered after it hit the floor.

The Switzerland international cut his foot, and after consulting club physician Dr. Karl-Heinrich Dittmar, went to a Koln hospital where he received seven stitches.

Derdiyok is now certain to miss Saturday's clash with Stuttgart, as well as the marquee fixtures against Borussia Dortmund and Barcelona.

The striker is the top scorer for Bayer Leverkusen this season, with nine goals in all competitions.
