Sarawak fail to land Salibasic

Sarawak have failed to land Bosnian striker Muamer Salibasic, and are now hard-pressed to come up with his replacement with only three days to go before the transfer window closes

The Sarawak local daily Utusan Sarawak has revealed that the Crocs' negotiations to acquire the services of Muamer Salibasic has fallen through at the 11th hour, with just three days to go before the transfer period is over. They were told by the president of the Football Association of Sarawak, Datu Sudarsono Osman, that the Bosnian's former club NK Podgrmec Sanski Most has refused to release his International Transfer Certificate, possibly hinting at bad-blood between the two parties.

"Of course we are very eager to have him in the squad, but this is looking more and more unlikely by the hour," Sudarsono said.

When asked about a possible replacement, he replied that they are now looking at former Sabah import Obi Cileechukwu Charlos, who was the 2007-08 Malaysian Premier League top-scorer, and Fabrice Noel from Haiti.
