Rayong United snap up South Sudan hopeful LoSarah

Thailand Division 1 side Rayong United have officially signed South Sudanese-American striker Ladule Lako LoSarah as they look to climb up from the foot of the league table.

Rayong have had a horrid season, winning and drawing three times in 18 matches, with survival still on the cards as they have 16 more games to go to the end of the season.

Ladule had previously turned out for Maldives club Maziya Sports and Recreational Club earlier in the season, including an appearance in the AFC Cup.

The California-born player is delighted to make the switch to Thailand and knows what is expected of him by the club. He also hopes that his performance in Southeast Asia will be enough to earn him a call up to the South Sudan national team.

"I am thrilled to join the Elephant Warriors and help them fight for survival in the Thai 1st Division," LoSarah said.

“The coach believes in my ability and style of play and my teammates have welcomed me with open arms. I am looking forward to contribute goals to help the club stave off relegation.

“Hopefully, my efforts will bring me into reckoning again with the South Sudan Football Association, leading to a national team call up in the near future.”

The lanky striker's transfer was realised with the help of Trebol Sports International and their Thai partner, Saowaluck.

The South Sudan national team hopeful, who had previously played in the FK Bregalnica in the Macedonian top flight, was in Singapore prior to his move to Thailand for a two-week trial with S.League side Hougang United.

Although he impressed the management during his stay in the city-state, LoSarah was left disappointed as the Cheetahs had decided to retain all their current foreign players.
