The All India Football Federation (AIFF) are set to miss out on the services of Santosh Kashyap who was the preferred candidate of India’s technical director Robert Baan for the Pailan Arrows job.
Rangdajied United, the winners of the I-League second division, have offered Kashyap to take over the reins at the club for the next season.
The north east outfit’s general secretary Karsing Kurbah had told Goal that they do have “big plans” for the I-League and their foremost among them is to secure the signature of Kashyap.
"We have discussed with Kashyap and he shall sign with us next week,"said Kurbah.
The 46 year old has had a fantastic spell at ONGC where he joined them at a time when nobody gave them a chance of staying out of the relegation zone. Kashyap didn’t take long to change the club’s fortunes and once again helped a team perform well with limited budget which has further enhanced his reputation after his good work with Air India previously.
Meanwhile the AIFF will have their way as they shall appoint Sanjoy Sen as the next coach of Pailan Arrows.
