Manchester United-bound Zaha wins Championship Player of the Year

Manchester United-bound Wilfried Zaha has won the Championship Player of the Year award as voted for by the Professional Footballers Association.

The 20-year-old has scored six goals in 45 appearances on loan at Crystal Palace this season, after United signed the winger in the January transfer window on a five-and-a-half-year contract before loaning him back.

Zaha also made a substitute’s appearance for England after coming on for Raheem Sterling during a friendly against Sweden in the 83rd minute in November 2012.

He has played at both U19 and U21 level for his country, and was also named in the Championship Team of the Year alongside fellow Palace player Glenn Murray.
