FULL TIME: WANDERERS 3 CITY 1. The Wanderers will keep the three points in Western Sydney as a hat-trick from Brendon Santalab sees them win by 3 goals to 1. The Wanderers were well worth their win as they dominated the second half and got the important goals through Santalab and City didn't look like they could get back into it after the concession of those goals. Big win for the home side to consolidate their spot in the top 6 while City miss a chance to gain ground on the teams ahead of them.

HALF TIME: WANDERERS 1 CITY 1. An interesting first half ends with the teams heading to the sheds all square. City had the very early goal through a deflection and dominated the game but it was Santalab who struck back to finish past Sorensen. City have been on top but the Wanderers are hanging in there and playing good football themselves. Anyone's game in the second half.
44' The ball is bobbling around on the pitch and Franjic volleys it into a good area but Malik heads it wide of the far post
43' Brattan has a shot himself from distance which Cornthwaite heads away for a corner

25' Fitzgerald has had the wood over Clisby so far as he gets another cross into the box but Aspro is in the right place to clear it out

21' GOAL WANDERERS! WANDERERS 1 CITY 1. Just like that, the Wanderers are on level terms. City lose the ball in their defensive third and the ball goes to Martinez who holds it up then slips through Santalab well and the striker hits his shot low and it goes off Sorensen's knee into the back of the net
19' City are combining well on their right side which is where most of their attacking play is coming from. Caceres and Fitzgerald working hard to try and create another opportunity
17' Cornthwaite passes it straight to Fornaroli and he is fouled as he tries to find Fitzgerald on the wing. City looking much more dangerous going forward so far.
16' Nichols wins a corner off Tongyik and the home side flood the box and will try to get on the end of this set piece
15' Martinez puts in a cross that Tongyik heads up into the air and Sorensen is there to claim it. Home side haven't got their attack going so far tonight.
14' City are dictating the pace of this game as they are controlling possession and field position. They are looking for a 2nd goal. Wanderers trying to play on the counter.
12' Fitzgerald again is involved as he gets down the byline and puts in a cross that Aspro has to clear out for a corner
10' Franjic puts in a teasing cross to the near post but it is headed out by the defence. He was looking for his winger Fitzgerald in the box.

9' Yellow card Kearyn Baccus
8' Wanderers work a set piece routine but it doesn't come off as Nichols snap shot on the edge of the box is blocked by Kilkenny.
7' What a great chance to equalise for Nichols who beats the offside trap and is 1 on 1 with the keeper but Sorensen shows all his experience in coming out and saving the Wanderers midfielder's shot
6' Kamau now gets away from his marker and tries to square the ball to Caceres but the home team defence can get back in time and clear the danger
4' Wanderers try to answer back quickly but Santalab has gone too early and been flagged offside. The early goal has certainly changed the complexion of this game with City now looking to get it out quickly to the flanks. In form Fitzgerald a good source of attack
Goal
3' GOAL CITY! CITY 1 WANDERERS 0. An extremely fast start from City as Fitzgerald gets away from his marker Clisby and he squares it to Kilkenny who smashes a shot from 20 yards out and the ball deflects off a defender giving Janjetovic no chance and the away side have a very early lead. It was the first attack of the game. City are in great goal scoring form.
