Bandari have reaped maximum points against Mathare United from a match played on Friday

Bandari have beaten Mathare United 1-0 in a mid-week Kenyan Premier League match played on Friday at Machakos County Stadium.

Anthony Wambani scored in the 31st minute to give the Paul Nkata coached side the most important bunch of three points as the 1-0 score-line remained by the end of the match.

Mathare United, who went to the encounter with heads raised having beaten Gor Mahia in their most recent match, tried to look for an equalizer in the second-half to no avail.

Even with the likes of Derrick Onyango, who provided an assist and Cliff Nyakeya, who scored the goal against Gor Mahia, being present in the squad, all their attempts were thwarted by the ever present Bandari defense.

Stand-in coach Salim Ali will now handover reigns to head coach Francis Kiamnzi, whose ban ends today (Friday) with a 5-2 loss to Ulinzi Stars, 0-0 draw against Chemelil Sugar and 1-0 win against Gor Mahia in his record.
