That's all from us today folks, we hope you enjoyed the game!
A much needed victory for United moves them up to eighth in the table, leapfrogging Everton who drop down to ninth. Next up for Mourinho's side is a trip to Bournemouth, meanwhile Everton will return to Goodison Park next weekend, where they will face Brighton.
United wrap up a 2-1 victory over Everton at Old Trafford, but they really should've won by more as they had numerous chances in the second half to extend their lead. The hosts led 1-0 at the break and Martial doubled their lead just a couple of minutes after the restart. Rashford and Pogba both had efforts superbly saved by Pickford, who Everton really have to thank for keeping them in the game. The England number one pulled off some fantastic saves today. Sigurdsson pulled one back for the visitors from the penalty spot, but they just couldn't find another to level the scoreline and United saw the game out.
90' + 7' FULL-TIME: MAN UNITED 2-1 EVERTON
J. Lingard
Fred
Manchester United
90' + 5' Final United substitution late on, with Fred coming off and he has been replaced by Lingard.
90' + 4' UNITED CHANCE! Martial with a superb opportunity to wrap up the victory. Everton lost the ball on the halfway line and United broke forward quickly. Martial just about manages to stay onside and he races through on goal. However, he takes far too long to make up his mind and Pickford stands his ground, making a fantastic save with his feet. It should be 3-1.
90' + 2' It's all Everton at the moment, they are trying to get the ball in the box to carve open one last opportunity, but it's just not falling for them at the moment. They need to be careful of a United counter-attack as well.
90' There will be a minimum of SIX minutes added time!
89' It's gone a bit quiet at Old Trafford, the home supporters have been in fine voice all afternoon but they can perhaps sense a late Everton onslaught is coming. The visitors surely have to throw everyone forward in these last few minutes.
87' There is just a few minutes of normal time left to play here, can Everton nick a late equaliser?
Ander Herrera
Mata
Manchester United
85' United make their second substitution, with Mata coming off the pitch and he has been replaced by Herrera.
84' Gylfi Sigurdsson now has four Premeir League goals as an away player at Old Trafford - only Steven Gerrard (5) has more. (Sergio Aguero, Darren Bent, Edin Dzeko also have 4).
82' There is still plenty of time for Everton to score another and take a point away from the game, but United still look comfortable and dangerous in front of goal. The hosts just need to make sure they don't start to sit deep and invite the pressure.
80' It looks like Smalling has picked up an injury after the tackle which gave away the penalty. However, after some treatment on the sidelines, he looks fine to continue. The centre-back could count himself lucky to still be on the pitch, as he is already on a yellow card and he could've quite easily of picked up another one there.
D. Calvert-Lewin
I. Gueye
Everton
78' Gueye is the other Everton man coming off and he has been replaced by Calvert-Lewin.
C. Tosun
T. Walcott
Everton
78' Everton make their final changes of the game, the first sees Walcott replaced by Tosun.
G. Sigurðsson
Penalty Goal
Everton
77' GOOOAAALLL! Everton pull one back, it's 2-1! Sigurdsson stepped up to take the penalty after a discussion with Richarlison who wanted to take it. However, the Iceland international makes no mistakes from the spot-kick, an emphatic penalty past De Gea.
76' EVERTON PENALTY! Smalling dives into the challenge as Richarlison sprints past him. As clear a penalty as you'll ever see! Nowhere near the ball and the referee immediately points to the spot. It all came from a mistake from Pogba. The midfielder tries to play an elaborate flick inside his own half, but there was no need for it and Everton nick it back and break into the box.
74' United look very comfortable, playing the ball around the pitch at their own pace and trying to break down the Everton defence, but with no real urgency.
72' EVERTON CHANCE! Coleman breaks into the box and fires an effort at goal from the edge of the six-yard box, but the ball was always rising and it flies over the crossbar. The referee awards a goal-kick but looking at the replay, it appears to be saved by De Gea.
71' Martial has now scored in five of his last six competitive appearances against Everton. He has been excellent today.
69' The pace of the game has dropped now, with United taking their foot off the throttle and allowing Everton possession in the middle of the pitch.
67' Everton are starting to put a bit of pressure on United at the back, they've kept the ball well in the last five minutes or so, but they are struggling to create anything in the final third. The hosts look pretty comfortable.
R. Lukaku
M. Rashford
Manchester United
65' United now make their first change and it's a straight swap up top, with Rashford making way for Lukaku.
64' Coleman wins a free-kick deep down the right after Shaw clatters into the right-back. Sigurdsson whips the ball into the penalty area, but the referee is quick to award United a free-kick for a push inside the box.
A. Lookman
Bernard
Everton
62' Everton make their first substitution of the game, with Bernard the man coming off and he has been replaced by Lookman.
60' Manchester United have now scored 100 Premier League goals against Everton; only the second team to score 100+ goals against a single opponent in the competition (Arsenal: 107 v Everton).
58' GREAT SAVE! Pickford is once again called into action to stop United from scoring! Pogba this time with the shooting chance, his shot appears to be sneaking into the bottom corner at the near post, but Pickford got down quickly and managed to push the ball around the post and out for a corner.
56' Everton look short of attacking ideas at the moment, they are getting into some good positions in the final third, but Richarlison is often left isolated in the box, making it easy for Lindelof and Smalling to mark him.
54' UNITED CHANCE! Rashford with the opportunity to make it 3-0, but he is denied by a superb save from Pickford. The striker was played through on goal, but his first touch took him slightly wide of goal so he had a tighter angle to aim at. However, he manages to fire a low shot towards the far post, which Pickford read well and made a great stop with his feet.
51' WHAT A CHANCE! Bernard with a superb opportunity to pull a goal back for Everton! The winger beats the offside trap as Young steps up at the wrong time. The Brazilian is played through on goal with just De Gea to beat, but he appears to get caught in two minds, whether to go round the United keeper or chip it over him. He opts to take the ball around De Gea and then has an open goal to aim at, but he fires the ball into the sidenetting! How did he miss?
P. Pogba
Assist
Manchester United
49' Pogba has been involved in much of United's attacking play today and he layed the ball off to Martial on the left.
A. Martial
Goal
Manchester United
49' GOOOAAALLL! United double their lead, it's 2-0! Martial with a terrific curling effort into the bottom corner. The winger received the ball wide on the left and fired a first-time shot at goal, which was perfectly placed and just out of the reach of Pickford. Perfect start to the second half for United.
48' Everton are winless in seven matches against Manchester United in all competitions (W0 D2 L5) since a 3-0 home win in the Premier League in April 2015.
46' Decent effort! Everton with a bright start to the second half. Richarlison with a low effort from the edge of the box, it just lacked a bit of pace to beat De Gea. The United keeper made a strong save.
46' The second half is underway!
The hosts had the ball in the back of the net again just a couple of minutes later, but Rashford was in an offside position when he turned the ball into the back of the net and it was ruled out. Everton have had a couple of decent chances of their own, with Sigurdsson and Walcott both forcing De Gea into making strong saves. They lost a bit of confidence after the goal, but they responded well towards the end of the half.
United lead 1-0 at the break, with Pogba firing the Red Devils into the lead. Gueye brought Martial down in the box and Pogba stepped up to take the spot-kick. However, his initial effort was well saved by Pickford, but the rebound fell straight into the path of the Frenchman, who made no mistakes with the second opportunity.
45' + 2' HALF-TIME: MAN UNITED 1-0 EVERTON
45' + 1' CHANCE! Really good play by Everton down the right. Walcott is played through on goal at a tight angle and he fires an effort goalwards, but De Gea makes a strong save at his near post. However, he should be crossing the ball in that position, Richarlison is furious with his teammate as he was in a much better position in the box.
45' There will be a minimum of two minutes added time played at the end of the half.
43' Just a few minutes left to play in the first half now, can United double their lead before the break? However, Everton have performed much better in the last five minutes or so, after looking pretty shaky immediately after going behind.
41' Marco Silva has only won one of his six competitive managerial meetings with Portuguese compatriot Jose Mourinho in all competitions (W1 D1 L4); this coming in a League Cup tie with Hull City at home in January 2017 (2-1).
N. Matić
Yellow Card
Manchester United
39' Matic is the second United player to be booked.
37' Good chance! Sigurdsson with a looping header towards goal as he latches onto the end of a Coleman cross, but it's straight into the hands of De Gea. Much better by Everton.
35' Everton have barely touched the ball since going a goal behind. It really seems to have dented their confidence and composure as United exert their dominance late in the half.
33' United are now controlling the game, they are keeping Everton penned inside their own half and are looking to double their lead before the break.
31' OFFSIDE! Rashford has the ball in the back of the net, but it is ruled out for offside. Pogba and Martial play a lovely one-two on the edge of the box, with Pogba firing an effort towards goal, but Pickford makes another superb save. The rebound then falls to Rashford at the far post, who has a simple tap-in. However, he had just strayed offside.
31' There was a mixed reaction to the Pogba penalty, it didn't sound like the United fans were pleased with the way Pogba went up to take the spot-kick. He did take an awfully long time to take the penalty.
29' Pogba has been involved in 21 Premier League goals for Man Utd since the start of last season - only Romelu Lukaku (27) has been involved in more for the Red Devils.
P. Pogba
Goal
Manchester United
27' GOOOAAAALLL! United lead 1-0! Pogba converts the rebound. Pickford will feel hard done by, but the rebound fell perfectly to Pogba and he had a tap-in from just a couple of yards out.
J. Pickford
Penalty Save
Everton
27' SAVED! Pickford with a superb stop to deny Pogba from the penalty spot, he dived to his right and got a strong hand to the ball to stop it going into the back of the net. However, the rebound falls straight to Pogba...
P. Pogba
Penalty Miss
Manchester United
27' Pogba with a stuttering run, trying to make Pickford choose a side early on. However, the Everton keeper read the penalty well and made a great save.
26' UNITED PENALTY! Gueye brings Martial down inside the area, the Everton man didn't look comfortable at all as the winger cut inside and took him on. Martial used his pace to flick the ball past him and Gueye stuck out at leg and brought him down. The referee immediately points to the spot.
25' United currently have a goal difference of -1 in the Premier League this season; the first time that they have had a negative goal difference after nine games of a league campaign since 1990-91.
23' GOOD SAVE! Martial with a terrific curling effort from the edge of the box, it looked to be heading into the top corner, but Pickford was alert and made a superb save to deny the Frenchman. United are starting to edge the game.
I. Gueye
Yellow Card
Everton
22' Gueye is the first Everton player to be booked, after his blatant block on Fred as he tried to break down the left.
C. Smalling
Yellow Card
Manchester United
20' Smalling is shown the first yellow card of the game, after he clattered into the back of Richarlison. A poor challenge that he didn't really need to make.
19' CHANCE! Mata with a very good opportunity to put United ahead! It all came from the free-kick, which was initially cleared by Everton, but not well enough. The ball was crossed in from the left and Mata was completely unmarked in the box, he powers his header into the ground but it's too close to Pickford, who makes a good save.
18' Free-kick to United in a decent position to whip the ball into the penalty area, too far out to shoot but a good distance to get the ball into the box.
17' It's pretty quiet at Old Trafford, with the home fans not having much to cheer about so far today. Everton have done well in the last few minutes and have come closest to scoring with the Gomes chance a few minutes ago.
15' Good chance! Gomes with a strong header after a corner was whipped into the box, he powers his header towards goal but it's straight at De Gea who makes a comfortable save. Either side of the keeper and that would've caused him more problems.
14' Pogba, Martial and Rashford are linking up very well down the left, they almost break into the penalty area but the final pass just lets them down. It's a very open game.
12' United have won 19 home Premier League games against Everton – only against Spurs have they won more (21).
10' Both teams are struggling to keep hold of the ball at the moment, there have been a few too many sloppy passes which is why neither team are able to build any momentum going forward.
8' Decent chance! Bernard goes very close to getting on the end of a low Sigurdsson cross into the box, but Young defends well and just manages to keep the Everton winger away from the ball. The right-back appears to have picked up a slight knock in the collision, but he looks fine to continue.
7' United are starting to cause the visitors a few problems with their pace in attack, Rashford and Martial are really stretching the Toffees defence at the moment, with Keane and Zouma struggling to keep up.
5' Penalty shout! Richarlison goes down at the far post under pressure from Shaw after a deep cross came into the box. It would've been a very soft penalty if it was given, with the referee waving away the Everton appeals. The resulting corner comes to nothing.
3' Both teams are just settling into the game in the opening couple of minutes, trying to find their rhythm. United enjoying more of the early possession, with much of it coming in the Everton half. A decent start to the game.
1' We're underway!
The teams are out on the pitch and we are just a few minutes away from kick-off. There will be a minute's silence before kick-off, as it is United’s last home game before Remembrance Sunday and also for the tragic events at Leicester City yesterday.
Jose Mourinho has made just one change to the side that were beaten in midweek, with Lukaku dropping to the bench and he has been replaced by Fred. Meanwhile Marco Silva has stuck with the same side that beat Palace last week.
