Goal looks at the key players’ coach Bernard Mwalala will rely on when the Dockers takes on Al Ahly Shendi from Sudan in the first leg on Saturday
Goal Kenya.
#1 Felly Mulumba
The Congolese import is a leader on the pitch and he will have to ensure the Dockers’ backline is well organized and protects their goalkeeper from attacks to avoid conceding an away goal.
Goal Kenya.
#2 Fred Nkata
Nkata was one of the key players for Bandari last season. On Saturday, he has to stay solid, but again, will be helping the attackers when an opportunity arises. He can deliver crosses as well for strikers to capitalise on and get the much-needed win.
Goal Kenya.
#3 Abdalla Hassan
He is an intelligent player who knows what to do on and off the ball with his main attributes being positioning and awareness. He scored six goals last season from his position, but can do better, starting with the Caf Confederation Cup fixture.
Goal Kenya.
#4 William Wadri
The Ugandan striker will have to be clinical in front of the goal to help his team stand a chance of winning the first leg battle on Saturday. He managed to score just five goals for the club last season, and must up his game for Dockers in the coming season.
Goal Kenya.
#5 Yema Mwana
He managed 12 goals last season, which was the highest for the club. Mwana is a complete striker whose main strength relies on his pace and clinical finishing. He is one of the most dangerous players in the team and needs to show that on the continental stage against Al Ahli Shendi on Saturday.
Bandari FC.
#6 Wycliffe Ochomo
The big man was at times used sparingly by coach Bernard Mwalala last season but anytime he was introduced, he had an impact. His vast experience will be much-needed if the Dockers are to claim the important win at home on Saturday.
