Victory v Phoenix
Who starred and who struggled in the elimination final?

Keisuke Honda may be Melbourne Victory's marquee man, but it was Ola Toivonen that truly starred on Friday night in his side's 3-1 elimination final win over Wellington Phoenix.

Wellington started the match strongly, but Victory's stars would step up and guided Kevin Muscat's side to a Big Blue semi-final next week.

    Ola Toivonen

Nearly every pass was pin-point as he teed up Barbarouses for Victory's second goal before finishing brilliantly himself from a tight angle. The real star of this Victory side tonight.

  • Melbourne Victory substitutes

Carl Valeri, Kenny Athiu and Storm Roux all brought on in the dying minutes to little effect.
  • Filip Kurto

    Filip Kurto

    Rating: 5/10

Could do nothing about the first two goals, but should've stood tall for the third and instead allowed Toivonen to chip him at his near post.

  • Ryan Lowry

    Ryan Lowry

Showed his lack of attacking potential early as he skewed a shot wide. Lack of pace didn't help filling in at right wing-back.

Lively once brought on and played in a beautiful cross for Krishna's goal.
