Africans players returned to action for their clubs after the international break and posted a mixed bag of results in the Premier League, Bundesliga and La Liga over the weekend.

Ghana international Thomas Partey led the way for those who had a good outing as he scored a beauty for Arsenal in the North London Derby against Tottenham Hotspur while Senegal international Sadio Mane ended his goal drought as Bayern Munich registered victory.

Meanwhile, Ghana's Jordan Ayew had a bad day in the office after his side Crystal Palace suffered a late defeat against Chelsea at Selhurst Park.
