All you need to know about the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier between South Africa and Libya

South African national team, Bafana Bafana, will be at home against Libya this weekend, with both teams looking to top Group E.

Libya currently top the standings with three points, thanks to their superior goal difference. They won their first match of the qualifying campaign 5-1 against Seychelles.

Bafana are placed second with the same number of points after one match after having beaten Nigeria 2-0 in their opening match of the campaign.

Apart from participating in the Cosafa Cup earlier this year, this will be Bafana's first competition match since losing to Senegal in the 2018 Fifa World Cup qualifier at the start of the year.

Libya, ranked 101 in the world, have nothing to lose given that none gave them a chance from the word go. They last qualified for Afcon in 2012.

However, they have been on the rise since then, winning the 2014 edition of the Chan tournament in South Africa.

Bafana are under immense pressure to qualify for the Afcon finals after failing to make it to the 2017 edition.
