Wazito FC is among the two teams promoted to the Kenyan Premier League for the 2018 season.
The Frank Ouna led side finished the 2017 National Super League season in the second position with 81 points, same as champions Vihiga United, who had a better goal difference. The former Gor Mahia assistant coach says he is hopeful the season will be a good one.
"This is our debut season in the top tier, we have about seventeen days or so before playing our first match, meaning time is definitely not on our side. We are doing final touches to ensure that we are on top shape by the time the league kicks-off.
"We want to ensure that we are in the top tier in 2019, meaning we have to survive this season. The main aim is to avoid relegation and by doing that we will be safe. It is not going to be easy, as usual, the competition is stiff but we are up to the task.
"Well, I will not comment on whether the 3-5-2 formation will be our main one, all I can say is that we will employ different technique depending on the opponent we are facing," Ouna told Goal.
Wazito and Vihiga United replaced Western Stima and Muhoroni Youth, who were relegated from the top flight.
