The English top-flight side have parted ways with the Ivorian defender after a three-year poor stint with the club

Watford have officially announced that the club and former Lens defender Brice Dja Djedje have mutually terminated their contract.

The Cote d’Ivoire international who completed a move to the Vicarage Road from Olympique Marseille in 2016 for €3.6m, made just two appearances in his unimpressive spell with the Hornets.

Dja Djedje, a former Evian TG full back, returned to be part of Javi Gracia’s charges, having spent last season on loan at Lens.

“Watford confirm that following completion of the appropriate documentation today, it has been agreed to terminate the contract of defender Brice Dja Djedje by mutual consent,” the club announced on their website.

The 27-year-old will hope to settle in quickly with the Turkish elite division Ankaragucu when he gets to feature for them.
