Marcus Berg, Alan or Zhao Xuri - Who should be the Asian Player of the Week?

This past week saw intense action in Asia with several exciting games in the AFC Champions League. 

Among all the stellar performances that we saw, we have picked out three standout performers for the fans to deliberate upon and decide whose contribution was the best of the lot.

Our first candidate is Alan of Guangzhou Evergrande. The forward was exceptional for the Chinese team in their 3-1 win over Cerezo Osaka, scoring a brace. He was named Toyota Asian Player of the Week. 

Our second candidate is Marcus Berg of Al Ain. He was in inspired form against Al Rayyan in a 4-1 win, bagging two goals.

Our final candidate for the honour is Tianjian Quanjian's Zhao Xuri. He was in his element against Kashiwa Reysol and scored two important goals.
