'Unbelievable player and person' - Football world pays tribute to retiring Didier Drogba

The 40-year-old has finally called time on his football playing career that spanned 20 years

Fifa, Uefa, Chelsea and several players have paid homage to Didier Drogba who announced his retirement from football.

Drogba brought his career to an end after a two-year stint in the United Soccer League where helped the club win the Western Conference title as a captain - and as a co-owner.

On Wednesday, the two-time African Footballer of the Year confirmed the decision to hang his boots after 20 years of professional football.

And the world football governing body including his former teammates and clubs have come together to laud the illustrious career that saw him score 367 goals in 679 games.
