The Ugandan defender has completed move from Tusker to a Tanzanian Premier League side on two-year deal

Tanzanian Premier League side Singinda United have completed the sigining of Tusker defender Shafik Batambuze.

Singinda official Festo Richard Sanga has confirmed the two-year deal to Goal explaining that they are aware of what the country’s top flight league requires hence their decision to bring on board the Ugandan ace.

"We have signed Shafik Batambuze from Kenyan club Tusker for a period of two years.We have started with a foreign signing because most of players in our league are still tied up with running contracts and you know transfer window is also still closed."

Batambuze has been instrumental for Tusker since he joined the Ruaraka-based side in 2016. He has so far scored two goals this season and his exit will be a big blow for the George Nsimbe coached outfit.
