Nigeria get invitational tournament for Beach Soccer World Cup

Coach Adamu Audu's men will take on Senegal, Morocco and Tunisia in preparation for the Beach Soccer World Cup in Bahamas

Nigeria's beach soccer team will embark on an invitational tournament trip to Dakar ahead of the 2017 Fifa Beach Soccer World Cup billed to hold from April 27 to May 7 in the Bahamas.

Coach Adamu Audu's men will face Morroco, Tunisia, Senegal in a four-nation tournament scheduled to hold from April 14 to 17 as part of its final preparation for the international showpiece.

The two-time African kings finished as runners-up at the 2016 African Beach Soccer Cup of Nations in Lagos to qualify and will resume final preparations on Monday, April 3.

"The team [Supersand Eagles] will resume camp for their final preparations for the Bahamas next week [Monday],'' Pinnick told Goal.

"We were finalizing arrangement for them because they will be leaving for Dakar for a four nations invitational tournament.

"They will play against Morocco, Tunisia, and Senegal in the competition. We expect the matches will put them in good shape before the World Cup. 

"After the friendly matches, they will be heading to the Bahamas."

Nigeria will face Iran, Italy, and Mexico in Group B of the preliminary stage and will open their campaign against Italy on April 27, 2017, in Nassau.
