Red-hot Nyasha Mushekwi powers Dalian Yifang past Henan Jianye

The Zimbabwe international continued his fine form in front of goal, and now has five goals in two Chinese Super League games

Nyasha Mushekwi grabbed a brace as Dalian Yifang dispatched Henan Jianye 2-1 in Saturday's Chinese top-flight encounter.

The 30-year-old maintained his impressive goalscoring form at the Jinzhou Stadium after bagging a hat-trick against Guangzhou R&F last weekend.

Mushekwi ensured both sides went into the break on par after cancelling Ricardo Vaz Te's effort.

After the restart, the former Mamelodi Sundowns talisman continued from where he stopped with the match-winning effort in the 50th minute.

The Warriors forward who played for the entire duration of the encounter has now scored nine goals in as many games in his debut campaign in China.

Cameroon's Christian Bassogog could do little for Henan Jianye who are two points adrift of the relegation zone.

Dalian Yifang are placed 13th spot in the log with 19 points from 19 games. They host Shandong Luneng for their FA Cup game on Tuesday before Saturday's visit to Chongqing Dangdai Lifan for next league game.
