A crowd of more than 5000 people gathered at the Glen Willow Sporting Field for the first ever A-League match in Mudgee - a regional town 261km north-west of Sydney.

The Wanderers went two goals up in the first 20 minutes though Spanish striker Oriol Riera, but were pegged back either side of the break by strikes from Alex Lopez and Adam Taggart.

Brisbane remain winless in eighth position with two points after three games, while the Wanderers are in fifth spot with four points.
