The latest updated global club rankings from FiveThirtyEight has seen Perth Glory rise significantly and are now unsurprisingly the highest ranked Australian side.
With Manchester City topping the charts ahead of Liverpool and Barcelona, Glory has soared 30 spots and now sit in 255th ahead of MLS side Seattle Sounders and Championship club Blackburn.
Perth have lost just once this A-League campaign and are within touching distance of a number of regular-season records.
Despite poor recent form, Sydney FC is the next best rated A-League club coming in at 271st with Melbourne Victory a little further back in 325th.
Both clubs have dropped significantly over the past six months with Victory ranked 185th last August - two places higher than Leeds United at the time.
Going down the updated list Melbourne City now sit 355th, Newcastle Jets 364th, Adelaide United 410th, Western Sydney Wanderers 439th, Wellington Phoenix 497th and Central Coast Mariners 567th.
With only 628 clubs on the list, the Mariners find themselves worrying close to the bottom with League Two side MK Dons and United Soccer League side San Antonio ahead of them.
The meticulously curated rankings are decided by a club's match performances, match ratings and general league strength.
