Although JDT have captured the 2018 Malaysia Super League title two weeks earlier, there's still a lot to fight for in the league.

Round 20 of the league were played out over Tuesday and Wednesday, except for the match between JDT and Kelantan, which will take place on Friday.

In the only match to take place on Tuesday, Kedah and Terengganu slipped up in their push for the second spot, when their match at the Darul Aman Stadium ended in a 1-1 draw. Baddrol Bakhtiar opened the scoring for the hosts one minute from halftime, but Kamal Azizi Zabri levelled the scoreline in the 62nd minute.

On Wednesday, Pahang too failed to maintain their chase for the second place, when they were held to a 2-2 away draw by Melaka United. The Elephants drew first blood through Issey Nakajima-Farran's eighth minute goal, but Gopinathan Ramachandran's 15th minute goal and Yahor Zubovich's 25th minute goal gave the hosts the lead. Austin Amutu restored parity in the first half injury time, and neither side could add more goals in the second half.
