Over 140 teams lined up as Chapa Dimba move to Nyanza region

Migori Kisii and Homa Bay Counties will host over 140 teams as Nyanza region hosts the preliminary matches of the Chapa Dimba tournament this weekend.  

Kisumu and Siaya regions will kick off their games on November 24 where over 80 teams are set to battle for places into the next round.

This follows the successful kick-off to the tournament in Western region with over 200 games being played across Kakamega, Busia and Bungoma Counties.

After Nyanza, the competition will move to Rift Valley, Eastern, Coast, Central, North Eastern and Nairobi regions as the race to La Liga heats up.

After the regional knockout phase, successful teams will proceed to the regional finals and finally the grand finale set for July 2019 where the winning teams will each walk home with one million shillings in prize money.

This year, the competition will run in collaboration with La Liga whose partnership will see an all-star Kenyan team selected to attend a training camp in Spain during which they will play against local youth sides.
